Lukaku headache for Liverpool

Lukaku headache for Liverpool

…as Reds bank on Mane, Coutinho, Firmino

Liverpool have developed a notorious attitude which sees them lose to small teams but roll out the tank against big oppositions, and one of the most important games for them every year is the Merseyside derby with city rivals Everton which takes centre stage today. Football faithful will be keen to see how the two attacking sides come at each other at Anfield in what promises to be explosives as both sides seek to secure European places in the EPL. Of course, Jurgen Klopp’s men will be so wary of the EPL leading scorer Romelu Lukaku who has the record of the most prolific striker so far this term.

He doesn’t command that toga just because of the number of goals he has scored but the Belgian has scored more clear-cut goalscoring opportunities (15) than any other EPL player this season. He has hit the net five times in previous encounters against the Reds and the 23-yearold can extend the prolific streak that has produced nine goals in the last six games alone. Liverpool defenders have a tough job on their hands but having not lost in their past five games against their rivals they can head into the game with some confidence.

However, a bad attitude could cost them points especially when they have a Lukaku as an opponent. Klopp will however be banking on Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino to also get a home win in this encounter.
