Noma, Oyelami seek promotion of reading culture

It had in attendance scores of children. The celebrity guest, Dupe Noma, read to the children two books that had impacted her life. The two books are Eddie Iroh’s ‘Without A Silver Spoon’ and Abayomi Oyelami’s ‘Finding Purpose for Kids’.

Noma said she was very impressed by this kind of initiative which aims to improve reading culture. “Most of our kids only read when they have exams or when their teachers make them read or put them to test,” she said.

She noted that an event like this is highly appreciated.

She was also full of praises for the convener of the programme, urging him not to relent, and prayed that God would help him to sustain the good development. She charged government to encourage young stars like Mr. Abayomi Oyelami for coming out with initiatives like this that enhances reading culture.

She added that by doing that failure in schools and examinations will reduce.
