Former IGP harps on role of trust in marriage

Retired Inspector-General of Police, Alhaji Musiliu Smith, has called for stronger ties in transparent love, trust and genuine endurance among couples to promote continued enduring marital success at all times.
Smith pleaded with Nigerians, especially married couples, to strive in all its ramifications to transparently love, endure and trust one another with such dogged strides for the realization of the age long dreams of better secured home that would honestly serve as very worthy reference point for others to proudly emulate.
He made these remarks as the chairman of the 70th Birthday of Alhaja (Chief) Modinat Abiola Sanusi and the Golden Jubilee Wedding Anniversary reception of the celebrant and her husband, the Executive Chairman, Cosmic Insurance Brokers Ltd, Alausa, Ikeja Alhaji (Dr.) Teslim Sanusi, held at the Insurance Brokers House, 8, Moleye Street, Alagomeji, Yaba, Lagos.
While extolling the sterling virtues of the celebrants, the retired Nigeria Police Boss lamented the unfortunate cases of broken marriages and homes which resultantly affect the unexpected downturn of moral and religious discipline, stemming from incompatibility as a result of insincerity, intolerance and sometimes from unnecessary incursion or bad influence from the society as well as the non-adherence to the moral values sustenance and self discipline and tolerance with one another.
To this end, Alhaji Smith congratulated the celebrants on their genuine steadfast to the enduring success of their marital experiment thus serving as very worthy role models the society and the nation were very proud of.
Highlights of the events greatly supervised by a former District 404B-2 Governor, Lions International, Lion AlhajiAbiodunAdediji, a seasoned community and religious leader of note, according to a statement by Mr. Tola Noibi, were chronographic and cultural display by the Tiny Tods of the school and the numerous tributes attesting to the inestimable contributions to the society, the religion and the nation at large.
