Vice-Chancellor, Redeemer’s University, Prof. Debo Adeyewa, at the weekend called on the Federal Government to create conducive environment for entrepreneurship to boost the country’s economic development. This came as a lecturer in the university, Prof. Adepoju Adeleke, at the weekend noted that there was need to revisit the National Education Policy of 6,3,3,4, especially the aspect that emphasised apprenticeship and vocational skill acquisition training so as to meet the Nigerian labour market needs.

Adeyewa said Nigeria was blessed with many talented people who were ready to work for the development of the country but the environment made it difficult for them to succeed in entrepreneurship. They both spoke at the fourth inaugural lecture series of the Redeemer University, Ede, Osun State, with the theme: “Development by Choice and Prime in Performance: Entrepreneurship for Industrialisation.”
