Arthouse Contemporary has announced call for entries for the 21st edition of its auction of modern and contemporary art.
The organisation, in a statement, stated that entries for the 21st edition of the auction will end on August 31, 2018. Since its inception, Arthouse Contemporary has steadily attracted, built and maintained a growing base of clients, helping to stimulate interest in Nigerian art scene.
The Arthouse Foundation is a non-profit organisation that aims to encourage the creat ive development of contemporary art in Nigeria. Through a residency-based programme, the Arthouse Foundation provides a platform for artists to expand their practice and experiment with new art forms and ideas.
By establishing a network that supports crosscultural exchange between Nigerian and international artists, the Arthouse Foundation embraces contemporary art as an educational model to engage communities, promote social dialogue and advance the critical discourse of artistic practices.
The Arthouse Foundation offers live/work residencies throughout the year in three-month sessions. Each artist resident is offered a studio space, mentorship, art materials and logistical support for the creation of a new artistic project during their residency that engages the city of Lagos.
