Ambode, K1 reconcile after hate video

There are glimmers of hope following the tension created over who becomes the next governor of Lagos State, especially after the acerbic video that went viral on the internet in the early part of the week. In the said video, Fuji music maestro, K1 De Ultimate, called the governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, some unprintable names at the official declaration party of the governor’s contender, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. This imbroglio explains why some disturbed social commentators dug out and juxtaposed a video of K1 praising Abode to high heavens and praying for his second coming as the governor. Understandably, this set tongues wagging with many faulting the singer’s mannerism and suggesting that no one truly has the interest of the common people at heart among all those at the centre of the mess. But Saturday Telegraph exclusively gathered that there was a truce reached in Lagos last Thursday after the governor sent emissaries to the singer.
According to an insider, the meeting was held in a hotel in Ikeja, Lagos. You’d recall that the singer alleged in the widely circulated video that the governor has been owing him some money for the past three years-this and more reasons for the rancour were resolved. Interestingly so, you may never have to expect any hate video or song against the governor from the King of Fuji music again, at least, not anytime soon.
