APC holds mega rally, confident of victory

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, yesterday boasted that the party’s governorship candidate in Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola, will win the September 22 election in the state. Oshiomhole, who stated this at the party’s mega rally in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, said Oyetola has the pedigree to rule the state and will transform Osun beyond what the incumbent; Rauf Aregbesola has done so far. He therefore called on the people to come out en masse and support APC and its candidate, saying: “You knew the condition of this state before Aregbesola came. He was able to transform the state.

That is why we selected another successful business man and a technocrat who is committed to the development of this state. “The man we are presenting to you has seen it all. We are not presenting an apprentice, but a tested hand who has participated in the development of this state under the current administration.

He has the capacity to think, create, imagine and trans form the state to the next level. Aregbesola has made a difference with the support of Oyetola.” Also speaking, the National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, berated defectors from the party to other parties for impatience. Tinubu said some of the defectors were asked to queue for their turn, but they refused and went ahead to defect. He, however, maintained that they will fail and regret wherever they have run to. Vice President Yemi Osibajo, on his part, said “On September 22, our governor will be Oyetola.”
