Atiku: APC govt, a national embarrassment

Former Vice President and Peoples Democratic Party presidential hopeful, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has rated All Progressives Congress-led government of President Muhammadu Buhari as national calamity on Nigerians. He said the government has allowed the total collapse of the country’s institutions.

“The advent of APC government in the country is a full of lies, betrayal of hope on the electorate only live in abject poverty, unemployment, and devastations of the economy”, he said. Speaking yesterday in Dutse while on a visit to a fellow presidential aspirant, Dr. Sule Lamido, Atiku stated that the country at the moment needed to undergo serious surgical operations as all its system has collapsed beyond resuscitation.

“It is a pity most of the country’s institutional organs, be it security, unity, and economic policies are in shambles.” “For example, the government inherited economy growing at about 7 per cent and crashed to recession in its first one year, and currently going below 2 per cent,” Abubakar, who further stated that coming to Jigawa State wasn’t on campaign mission over the presidential aspiration but was on a visit to PDP members as well as Lamido.

Commenting on his presidential ambition while addressing a press conference in Dutse, he stated: “Presently, we the PDP presidential contestants, we are working tirelessly in coming up with a credible personality amongst us, assuring any one we arrived at we will rally round him for the success of our party in chasing APC government out of power come 2019 presidential elections.”
