Balogun shifts focus to Liberia clash after Seychelles win

Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun has shifted his focus to friendly encounter against Liberia at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex on Tuesday. On Saturday, the 30-year old played a key role to help Gernot Rohr’s men defeat Seychelles 3-0 in an African Cup of Nations qualifying game.

In an effort to ensure a solid preparation for their next qualifying game against Libya on October 9, the Super Eagles will try Thomas Kojo’s men for size in Monrovia. And the Brighton and Hove Albion player took to Twitter to announce his readiness for the challenge. “Job done, on to the next one,” Balogun tweeted. Nigeria occupy the third spot in Group E standings with three points, behind South Africa and Libya who have four points each.
