Everyone knows that where general health and fitness is concerned, your core muscles have a great part to play. The stronger your core muscles, the healthier the body is. So, it behooves everyone who has a care for their overall health, wellness and fitness to take steps to secure fabulous abs… Of course there is that little matter of looking better in clothes and especially so, naked. But I digress.

Insulin makes you store fat around your middle so you want to maintain a balanced blood sugar level. Eating every three to four hours will keep your blood sugar even, but many people tend to go five or six hours between lunch and dinner without eating. Here are a few tips that work wonders when followed religiously, to get you those sexy abs you always oogle at on your screen and at the beach or magazines.


1. Prepare your meals. I cannot emphasise this enough. This way, you are in control of exactly what goes into your meals. Also keep your carbohydrates and sugars as low as possible.


2. Have a structured workout routine that has room to switch up the types of workout so as to avoid a plateau. Spend 20 minutes a day three to five times weekly doing cardio. This is a magic fat burner and you will definitely see changes soon enough. Spend 15 minutes a day three times a week strength training. And then spend 5 minutes a day three times a week doing abs exercises. Notice you need more minutes doing your cardio, followed by strength training and then abs exercises.


3. Reduce salt and salty foods. This is recipe for instant bloat. Even your soy sauce is packed with sodium. Beware!


4. Drink water before and after every meal. You will consume less.


5. Smart fashion choices. Now this part is pretty easy. Play up your other assets. Wear shorter skirts if you have great gams, an off shoulder top or sweat heart neckline to show your cleavage to draw attention from your tummy.
