Okeke said this while fielding questions from journalists in his Akatar residence in Amichi, Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

He said the PDP was a dead bone that has risen again. According to him, the party’s convention in Port Harcourt that threw up Atiku as the PDP presidential candidate was a beautiful one that showed that Nigerians could still get things right at any critical moment.

He said: “I am very happy with what is happening in PDP. What happened in Port Harcourt gives one hope that there can be credible election in Nigeria. Efforts of the national chairman of the party, Governor Wike of Rivers State and others who contributed to the success of the convention should be highly commended. “I congratulate them from all indications. PDP has become a party to beat.
