The platform, Plus Size Fashion Week Africa, (PFWAFRICA), debuted six years ago has raised a wider plus size community. The enthusiastic women at their prime were at the briefing to reveal their experiences in the previous celebrations.

The founder of the movement, Mrs. Temi Aboderin-Alao, also belonging to the Plus Size Community said that “This platform is not promoting obesity; we are celebrating African women form. With plus size, you are being curvy and happy the way you are; you should not feel less being of who you are, because you are on the plus size. We partner with the designers from US, UK and designers from other African countries for the PFWAFRICA and they have been very supportive.”

The two day PFWAFRICA would commence on November 3rd. There will be Red Carpet, two runway shows, exhibitions and music, while the final lap for the Master class would be themed, ‘Glow up and Flawless’ and a Fashion Gala night where awards will be given to those who have contributed to the Plus Size community in Africa.
