Coming into partisan politics for former Speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly, Titi Oseni, had been one with a divine touch as there are so much that speaks volume about her dabbling into politics. It will be recalled Titi shot into the spotlight not too long after she became a partisan politician.
The America-trained business administrator’s political path, no doubt, is laced with roses. In fact, her meteoric rise had been applauded particularly by the womenfolk.
Many were envious of her rapid rise and wished they were in her shoe, but as it is established that nothing lasts forever, the whole thing came to an abrupt end after the tenure of Gbenga Daniel in 2011 who many believed was instrumental to her rise.
Afterwards, the beautiful and elegant lady went into political oblivion particularly after her party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, failed to make impact in the state. However, she got down to her private business and was doing pretty fine. In the process of her sabbatical from the political scene, she found her flesh and bone in the person of wealthy Lagos lawyer, Wale Gomez, to whom she got married to and is happy with.
As it is, Titi has returned from her sabbatical thereby returning to the political arena from where she’s hoping to secure a place in public office through the ballot. She has since declared her intentions to run for the seat of Ogun Central Senatorial District at the upper chambers of the National Assembly, the Senate, on the platform of African Democratic Congress, ADC.
Meanwhile, while some believe Titi is deserving of a seat in the senate and they feel she has the clout to clinch the seat; all eyes are however on her to see if she will truly able to see her dreams through. Her senatorial ambition is considered a tall dream by some, especially as the out-going governor, Senator Ibikun Amosun is also interested in the same seat she’s gunning for.
