How to overcome fear

Published

on

These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. — John 16:33 In the face of circumstances and challenge of life we need to hear that it’s not over until He says so. They are simply a reason to sit tight. Sitting tight in the place of prayers and reading of the words, a time never to negotiate your trust in Him.

Give Him full trust at such a time and you will surely see tides turning to your favour. Next time you’re disappointed, don’t panic. Don’t jump out. Don’t give up. Just be patient and trust the Lord God He’s still in control.

What is that thing that wakes you at night worrying? God has it under control. Or the issue that is disappointingly unresolved? God is already working it out. Don’t be afraid in the face of anything of this earth when Jesus is on our side?

What has fear stopped you from doing in the past? Remember that where fear lives, peace is an unwelcome guest. Resolve to leave fear behind, embrace the peace and follow your heart so you can live out God’s plan for your life.
