This came as the President, Lagos Area Council of the Muslims Students Society of Nigeria, MSSNLagos, Dr Saheed Ashafa advised parents and guardian to enrol their children and wards for Qur’an and Arabic education to instil in them the fear of Allah for whatever knowledge they have learnt to be beneficial to them. Dr Ashafa gave this advice on the sideline of the third graduation and convocation ceremony of Right Path Arabic Institute held recently in Lagos.
“Today’s event is in fulfilment of one of our purposes in life which is the acquisition of knowledge about Islam to be able to worship Allah and propagate the religion of Islam on earth,” he said. “For the graduants, the certificates they obtained today is an addition that is more significant to other worldly certificates because with Islamic and Qur’an knowledge, we get closer to Allah in worship.
The knowledge of the Qur’an and hadith of the prophet will set us on the right path and enable us to apply whatever knowledge we have acquired to the service of mankind and to the pleasure of Allah. “Therefore I want to implore parents to enrol their children and wards into Islamic and Qur’an knowledge to learn about the fear of Allah for whatever they have learnt to be useful,” Ashafa added. The Ahmadiyya noted, in the same vein, that its conference shall include two segments: “The first segment will be devoted to lectures on moral regeneration in the current decadent society, and peaceful co-existence among different faiths, while the second segment would be tailored towards entrepreneurial job creation, featuring presentations by a panel of successful business professionals on the various opportunities available in Nigeria that could generate employment for the youth.
