Akpeyi, Iwobi, Onuachu, others hit Eagles’ camp in Tangier

Kaizer Chief goalkeeper, Daniel Akpeyi, was the first invited Super Eagles player to hit team’s camp in Tangier, as he flew with the official from Lagos to Morocco.

 

However, others like returning Wilfred Ndidi and Alex Iwobi are also in Morocco at the moment while Paul Onuachu, Ola Aina, Kelvin Akpoguma, Jamilu Collins, Chidera Ejuke and Frank Onyeka, all arrived from their various bases on Monday evening.

 

According to the Super Eagles media officer, Babafemi Raji, the camp has opened and more players are expected before the first official training on Tuesday ahead of the team’s Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Liberia.

 

“Camp opened today with officials based in Nigeriaarriving Tangierat6pm,” thestatementread.

 

“Goalkeeper, Daniel Akpeyi is the first player to arrive as he flew with the officials from Lagos, Nigeria. Training starts tomorrow. Work has started.”

 

The Eagles will play Liberia on Saturday before returning to Nigeria for another home game against Cape Verde at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
