Army urges civil populace to reveal hideouts of criminals

The Nigerian Army has urged the civil populace not to hesitate to inform the army and other security agencies the hideouts of the criminals that live among the communities. The commandant of the Nigerian Ordnance School, Major General Adeyemi Alabi, made the call during the Prayer& Support the Armed forces and other Security Agencies courtesy visit at Epe.

He noted that because the criminals live among the people, the community needs to give information to the security agencies about any untoward activity in their environment so that the security agencies can nip any breakdown law and order in the board before it materializes. His Royal Majesty (HRM) Oba Kamorudeen Ishola Animashaun Arolugbade (11) Oloja of Epe Land said the people cannot give the armed forces and other security agencies money but will pray and support them. “God will listen to us and we will get the reward from Him to make sure that Nigeria lives in peace and be together. It is a good initiative for the whole Nigerians,” he said.

The Oloja of Epe, who promised to extend the message of the Army to Christians and Muslims, said, “We will carry the message to both the Christians and Muslims living in our community, traditional rulers and make sure that it spreads all over the community and the entire Country.” The former Nigerian Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Lagos Chapter, Alhaja Sekinat Lawal, who spoke on behalf of the group, commended the Nigerian Army in their previous peace- keeping missions.
