Ayade visits First Senate President Joseph Wayas in a UK Hospital; Assures He will be back home soon, God willing!

The Governor of Cross River state, Sen Ben Ayade has paid a visit to an ElderStates man and First Senate President of Nigeria Sen. Joseph Wayas in a Hospital in UK, the Governor who was Represented by the Honorable Comissioner for Health Dr Betta Edu has expressed satisfaction at the level of care which the senate President is receiving at the hospital and his speed of recovery. He expressed optimism that Senator Wayas who was looking strong and stable will soon be discharged and allowed to return back to Nigeria where his contributions to nation building, his wealth of experience and advisory role is much needed.

It would be recalled that over the last one year the Governor Sen. Ben Ayade had taken keen interest in the health and welfare of a very illustrious son from Cross River State Sen Wayas who did us proud in the first senate and had continued to play strong roles in nation building before he took ill last year. The Governor has been sending financial support to the family to nurse him back to good health as well as support to some of his personal welfare needs which would have otherwise put pressure on the family.

The Commissioner for Health Dr Betta Edu who visited alongside the DG Primary Health care Development Agency Dr Ekpenyong after discussions with tne Health team at the hospital, thanked them for their commitment to his quick recovery while discussing plans for his movement out of the hospital to Nigeria where is can feel the love and support of friends and family as he continues to age happily.

The family sent their immense gratitude to the Governor Sen Ben Ayade for his continuous support to the upkeep of their Father noting that his support has gone a long way to elongate the life of their father. The further requested the state to assist their father get back to Nigeria upon discharge, which the Governor has graciously granted approval.
