Bauchi oil and gas academy set to take off

The Bauchi State Commissioner for Education, Dr. Aliyu Tilde, has said the Bauchi State Oil and Gas Academy, Alkaleri, approved by the Federal Government will soon take off.

 

Tilde disclosed this during the inauguration of the National Office of Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP) Zonal office on ATBU Gubi Campus in Bauchi.

He said: “Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed will soon inaugurate Board Members of the Academy to fully takeoff.” Tilde added that the temporary site of the institution was proposed for Alkaleri Local Government Area before the permanent site will be build up.

 

The commissioner said: “What changed the economy in the past was knowledge, but now what changes economy is technology. Without technology, no country can progress economically, hence, the need for government to improve on its research and technology education to meet up with the present challenges”.
