Bizman, security guard narrate how killers of FIRMAN CEO were arrested

A businessman, Ikechukwu Efulu, yesterday narrated before Justice Yetunde Adesanya of a Lagos High Court how he helped police to arrest the alleged killers of the Chief Executive Officer of FIRMAN Generator Company, Ignatius Odunukwe.

 

The trio of Daniel Ibeaji, Uzor Arinze and Cletus Solomon, were arraigned by the Lagos State government on a three-count charge of conspiracy to kidnap, kidnapping and murder.

 

The  were accused of killing Odunukwe while pretending to buy a property from him. In his evidence, Efulu said he had a business dealing with one of the defendants, Cletus Solomon, in 2016, when he developed a phantom interest in his property worth N150 million located in Abuja.

 

He said they discussed and agreed on the price for the property which was N150 million, with the defendant mounting pressure on him to accept payment in dollars while he refused and insisted on a bank-to-bank transaction.
