Blackish Int’l Literary Festival accentuates, celebrates splendour of black heritage – Ajayi

All is set for the Blackish International Literary Festival, scheduled to hold on 26th and 27th of November. The Festival, according to the organisers, will accentuate and celebrate “the splendor of black heritage against the backdrop of skewed narrative of uncouth stereotypes about Africans everywhere around the globe.

‘’It evaluates matters of Afro optimism and afrofuturism. It is an ample cultural event that seeks to promote black prowess, courage, brilliance and effort to create value to better the cause of humanity; and also to stir conversations about African creatives, literati and human resources who are doing riveting exploits everywhere in the world-and also zero in on the possibilities of African economic independence from the throes of growth debilitating international policies and the abrupt interference in the affairs of African states by sinister financial organizations around the world to perpetuate the poverty and insurgency in African countries with capacities to thrive without humongous foreign debts; and also to discuss the relevance and efficacy of African political and economic organizations and to expose the shenanigans of foreign financial institutions and their attempts to impede the economic development of African countries by marcerating them in resource depleting and outrageous interest rates on foreign debts,’’ celebrated poet, Kehinde Florence Ajayi said. According to him, the issue of brain drain and dumping and other economic vice mete on Africans by international bodies will also be brought to the fore. ‘’This cultural event is an assembly of great minds to chart a path to restore the glory of Africa and also march for the equality of all races in this terra firma.’’
