Buhari mourns ex-Abia Traditional rulers’ chair, Bernard Enweremadu

President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday in Abuja condoled with the family of former Chairman, Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, Sir Bernard Enweremadu, Ezeukwu of Ngwaukwu. In a condolence message issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, the president prayed that God would grant the renowned traditional ruler a peaceful rest. President Buhari joined the people and government of Abia, the Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, and associates in mourning the revered Ngwa paramount ruler. According to the president, the traditional ruler served Abia and the nation in many capacities, leaving a legacy of fairness and charity.

He also noted the sacrifices of Enweremadu to his community, leaving his engagements in Lagos to take up the responsibility of becoming custodian of culture and tradition at the age of 33 years. He remained faithful to the calling of his people until the final call at the age of 77 years. While the family, community, state and nation mourn the departed royal father, President Buhari urged an approximation of his good works and service to humanity, Adesina stated.
