Buhari unveils 7 of Zulum’s 556 projects, says I’m highly impressed

President Muhammadu Buhari could not hide his joy in Maiduguri yesterday after inaugurating seven out of the 556 capital projects delivered by Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, in just two years in office. The president, who was on a one-day visit to the state after a long time, said: “I am highly impressed by the very dynamic leadership that His Excellency, Governor Babagana Umaru Zulum, has been providing in Borno State in the last two years.”

Interestingly, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Lucky Irabor, leading the other service chiefs, including the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Major General Faruk Yahaya; Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Isiaka Anao; Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), Rear Admiral Auwal Gambo; Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba Alkali, had all arrived in Maiduguri, ahead of President Buhari’s visit to the state, where security issues concerning the North-East would be discussed.

Inspecting and inaugurating projects in Maiduguri yesterday, the President said: “He is very selfless and has been taking a lot of personal risks in order to guarantee the safety and welfare of his people. “I wish that every other person who has responsibility for the people at various levels will emulate Governor Zullum, instead of squandering so much time on unhelpful buck-passing and blame games. “I have gone round to commission some of the capital projects executed by the Zulum administration in two years. I amvery happy withwhatIsaw,” Buhari said during his remark at a gathering to mark the end of his state visit.”
