Sports Ministry denies alleged suspension of rugby president

A spokesman for the Federal Ministry of Sports has refuted a story making the rounds alleging the suspension from office the President Rugby Federation, Kelechukwu Mbagwu.   According to the ministry they have issued directives to the President as the supervising ministry but do not have the authority to suspend the President of a federation without the board’s input.   On another note a spokesperson for the Nigerian Rugby Football Federation confirmed a letter was received by the ministry which would be discussed during the board’s meeting early next month.…
