CEO to well-meaning individuals: Change nation’s poverty narrative

The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Chemstar Group, Dr. Aderemi Awode, has called on well-meaning individuals, as well as men and women of wealth and wisdom to change the poverty narrative of the country.

This was as he said that government all over the world alone could not eliminate the infrastructural gaps in the society and meet all the needs of the people, thus the challenge to help the less-privileged in the society.

Awode bared his minds while speaking during the conferment of the 2021 Lagos State of Man The Year Award (LASMAYA) on him by the Centre for Policy Development and Political Studies (CEPODEPS) at the De Blue Roof, LTV Event Centre, Lagos. He said the award would further spur him to rededicate his life to greater advancement of humanity and quality living.

Awode, the Founder of Chemstar Paints Nigeria Limited, manufacturer of Finecoat & Shield Paints, as well as other allied paints products, added: “Let me express what this award means to me, it is a recognition of my modest contribution to my immediate environment.
