Clerics who trended in the last one year

Ibiyeomie: Spreading branches like wildfire

With headquarters in Port Harcourt, the River State capital, Salvation Ministry is planting branches in every nook and corner, where men are found.

It’s founder and erudite servant of God, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has also carved a niche for himself as one of the ministers that has brought about membership explosion to the church of God in Nigeria.

His salvation messages and style of ministry has also endeared his ministry to hearts of the youthful.

Recently, Ibiyeomie unveiled the world’s biggest church auditorium. The auditorium, which has been dubbed the Five Fingers of God Cathedral,  boasts of a record breaking capacity of 120,000.

Fatoyinbo: Vindicated of rape scandal

Rape scandal brought against the Senior Pastor of Commonwealth Of Zion Assembly (COZA), Abiodun Fatoyimbo, rocked the church of God in Nigeria.

His ministry was also momentarily crippled by the rape charges that Fatoyimbo had to face. But, when the cleric was vindicated and the court ordered his accusers, Mrs. Busola Timi Dakola, to pay Fatoyimbo N1million, as damages; the church also heaved a big sigh of relieve.

In a way, he became the man of the year because not many men of God have enjoyed such verdict. Rather when a man of God is accused of any wrong doing in our clime, it is usually blown out of proportion just because he is a minister of Christ’s good news.

Enenche: Built largest Auditorium in FCT, Abuja

Prior to the unveiling of David Ibiyeomie’s 120,000 sitting capacity auditorium, the founder of Dunamis Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, practically surpassed the crowd- pulling Reinhardt Bonnke, when the opening of his 100,000 capacity auditorium (the DOME), drew great men of God all over the world to Nigeria’s capital city, Abuja.

That singular achievement further boosted the already sprawling membership of   Dunamis Gospel Centre.

Ogbansiegbe: Tickle intellectual buds of scripture students

The Presiding Bishop of Christian Fellowship Group International, Archbishop John Donaldson Ogbansigbe, never stops to tickle the intellectual buds of scripture students nor ceases to enrich believers all over the world spiritually, through his insightful Christian literatures.

He launched 10 of his latest books on one single day, adding to his credit 73 spirit-filled Christian literatures. Though Ogbansiegbe is based in Aba, the commercial nerve centers in Eastern Nigeria predominantly inhabited by business people, his books continue to bless different segments of people including academic communities worldwide.

“Presently, religious departments of five universities in Africa particularly, Ghana, Cameroon, Togo, Benin Republic and South Africa, are using my books as part of their academic curriculum. Many theological institutions in Nigeria also use my books,” Ognansiegbe explained.

The archbishop, who doubles as the African Representative of Episcopal College of Bishops International, is also a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He is indeed in high demand   as a conference speaker, globally.    Hence, he travels quite a lot outside the shores of Nigeria, for evangelistic outreaches. Through such channels, is books are circulated global.

Though Ogbansiegbe is a man of many competences, his followers and associates are endeared to him because they consider a humble servant of God. “God endowed me, amongst other things, with the gift of writing, and I value the grace so much. As far as this grace remains in me, divine inspiration will continue to come upon me, and the passion for writing will burn with greater fire,” the Archbishop said.

Primate Ayodele: UN recognition for humanitarian services

The Head of NRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, Primate Babatunde Ayodele, is considered as one of Nigeria’s regular seers. He was recently recognised by the United Nations (UN) for his outstanding humanitarian services. Before he was so decorated, Primate Ayodele, as he is fondly called, built an estate where the less privileged class is accommodated on charity grounds.

He has also continued to shine the light for both Nigeria and the world as a whole, especially in the area of giving spiritual and prophetic insights.

He enjoys a peculiar followership. Hence, his ministry experiences rapid growth; last year alone, NRI Spiritual Church opened new branches across the federation.

Okwudili Eze: Man to watch

The founder of Zion Heritage and Miracle Ministries, Abuja, Bishop Okwudili Eze, is a man to watch in God’s vine yard.

His ministry is associated with explosive evangelical outreaches; often accompanied by unprecedented soul winning. The ministry’s growth rate in year 2019 alone was considered unimaginable; one of such outreaches in Umuahia shook Abia State last year.

David Elijah: Nationwide crusade

Not even the raging persecution against Christians or deadly herdsmen wasting of lives could stop the founder of Grace and Power Prophetic ministry, Apostle David Elijah, from taking the message of salvation to the danger zones of the north.

He left the comfort of Enugu, Anambra State, in search of souls for Christ. Today, his nationwide crusades have given birth to numerous branches across the federation.

David Elijah was able to open branches in almost every state, thus he made enviable impact in the year 2019.

Pastor Schugger Ezenwa: Toast of the youth

Pastor Schugger Ezenwa, founder of Grace Revolution International Ministry, based in Lagos, has a way with the younger generation of Christians.

They find his doctrine appealing probably because he claims he has “anointing for money.”

Funny as it may seem, the youngsters cluster around his sprawling branches.   And he programmes keep making meaningful impacts on his followers.

Ogbueli: Raising spiritual and savvy followers

From its humble beginning in the Coal City of Enugu, Enugu State, Dominion City, founded by David Ogbueli, enjoys a wide spread nationwide. It is currently favoured by the youth and savvy where the branches a located. The ministry is also noted for its numerous conventions which usually attract huge crowd of followers.

Ogbueli, began the ministry while a student in the University of Nigeria Nsukka . He, at one time, abandoned studies to answer the call in ministry; and having actualized his divine calling went back to do justice to his secular education quest. He made tremendous impact in the year 2019 having made lots of followers.
