A coalition of civil society organisations has applauded the management of the National Commision For Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI), over what it considered as superlative performance under the leadership of Emaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim.
Operating under the aegis of ‘The Conference of Harmonised Civil Society Organisations In Nigeria (CHCSON)’, the coalition insisted that the Commission has recorded incredible progress within the last six months of assumption of office by Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim as the Federal Commissioner in charge of the agency.
In a statement by it’s Executive Director, Mr Oduma Oduma, the group said the Commission’s activities in the last few months were reviewed by a joint task force of CSOs, which result was satisfactory.
He said the Commission has direct bearing on the common people in the country, hence the group’s focus.
Specifically, the coalition passed a vote of confidence on the Displaced Persons Commission, even as it claimed that the current management has shown capacity to deliver on the set objectives of the commission in line with the establishment act.
“As representatives of the masses we are indeed proud of the Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim led management a new vista is once again restored at the Commission,” Oduma stated.
