Court evicts Lagos PDP from state secretariat over unpaid rent

A Lagos State High Court has evicted the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from its state secretariat over unpaid rent.

Following a court order, the main opposition party was ejected from its secretariat located at Adekunle Fajuyi Way, Ikeja.

Armed mobile police officers and court bailiffs on Monday effected the Execution Order. The exercise it was learnt took over two hours, as properties in the building were forcefully evacuated.

The exercise attracted the attention of the public as they watched officers throw away properties belonging to the party. As of press time, the party spokesperson could not be reached for comment on the development.
