Ex-UI VC to deliver McPherson Varsity 6th convocation lecture

Ex-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan (UI), Prof. Olufemi Bamiro, is expected to deliver the 6th Convocation Lecture of McPherson University today at the Seriki Sotayo, Ogun State main campus of the private university. The theme of the lecture is “Transforming the Nigerian University System for Graduate Employability and Sustainable Socio-Economic Development.”

The university’s VC, Prof. Adeniyi Agunbiade, disclosed this during the pre-convocation press conference organised to herald the convocation of the school established by Foursquare Gospel Church Nigeria. He said no fewer than 85 students would receive their scrolls during the graduation and awards of First Degrees and presentation of prizes, expected to take place at the institution’s Multi-Purpose Hall.

The VC, who said the academic programmes offered by the institution had been fully accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC), said the resource assessment visits carried out between September 5 and 11 by the commission for seven new academic programmes (four undergraduate and three postgraduate degree programmes) were successful.
