FCT revenue board warns public against employment scam

The Federal Capital Territory- Internal Revenue Service (FCTIRS) is not hiring employees. To this end, FCT revenue service is alerting Nigerians to be wary of fraudsters issuing fake appointment letters to unsuspecting Nigerians.

 

The alert notice was contained in a statement by FCT- IRS Head, Corporate Communications, Mr. Mustapha Sumaila.

 

“The attention of the Management of Federal Capital Territory-Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS) has been drawn to fake ap-  pointment letters being circulated in the name of the service with the intention to defraud unsuspected Nigerians.

 

“FCT-IRS is not currently recruiting and we hereby caution the general public to be careful not to fall victim of these unscrupulous elements,” it said. It warned the general public to be wary of the activities of these fraudsters who are out to defraud them of their hard-earned savings.

 

“The fake employment letters did not emanate from FCT-IRS, therefore anyone who patronises such fraudsters does that at his or her peril
