FG cancels weekly FEC meeting

The Federal Government has again shelved the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, which is due this Wednesday.
Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed who announced this in a statement yesterday blamed this on “inadequate time to prepare the documents for the meeting.”

Alhaji Mohammed said in a statement signed by his Special Adviser, Segun Adeyemi in Kano, that “the‎ two-day public holidays declared for the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations left little or no time to prepare for the weekly meeting.”

President Muhammadu Buhari who presided over last Wednesday’s FEC meeting after more than four months of absence due to ill-health, is still in his home town, Daura in Katsina State for Sallah holiday.
