FG trains, deploys over 200 special planning Officers to MDAs

In a bid to fast-track the implementation of President Muhammadu Buhari’s 9-point agenda for development across the country, 232 special planning Officers have been trained and ready for deployment to various Ministries, Departments and Agencies ( MDAs).

Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, made this disclosure in Abuja at the closing ceremony of training Programme for conversion to Planning Officer cadre for some categories of civil servants.

Yemi-Esan said that aside the need for a holistic implementation of Buhari’s developmental agenda, government was also working hard towards bridging the capacity gap in planning Officers cadre across the civil service.

She said: “You will agree with me that the Officers today, alone will not be sufficient in closing the capacity gaps in the Planning Officer Cadre service-wide.
