Fidson lauded for supporting child’s education

For its commitment to the educational development of Nigerian children through its annual flagship programme, tagged: “Astymin Brilliance Reward,” under the Astymin brand, Lagos State Government has commended Fidson Healthcare Plc, maker of Astymin.

The applaud was given by the Deputy Governor of the state, Dr. Idiat Oluranti Adebule at the seventh edition of the Astymin children academic reward programme – Astymin Brilliance Reward, held at the Ndubuisi Kanu Park, Alausa, Lagos. According to her, the Astymin programme, which is a yearly programme, instituted by Fidson Healthcare Plc is a commendable initiative that would go a long way in enhancing the academic performance of pupils and ultimately contribute to educational development.

Dr. Adebule, who was represented at the event by the Director of Special Duties, Mrs. Feyisayo Obadofin, said Fidson has done well in encouraging children to strive for excellence in their academic pursuit by rewarding the best-performing pupils in the country.

She, however, reiterated that children’s education is a significant aspect of national development that should not be pushed to the background, even as she encouraged all stakeholders, including teachers, parents and other corporate bodies to support the government by playing their parts in supporting the education of Nigerian child.

The Astymin Brilliance Reward, which was estbalished in 2010, is aimed at developing mental and academic performance, while rewarding hard work and academic excellence among primary school pupils, through special acknowledgment and provision of educational materials. The pupils were rewarded with certificates of excellence and other valuable prizes such as educational materials, which were presented to them by Mrs. Obadofin.
