First Apex School bids graduating students farewell

The 2017 graduation and end of the session celebration of the First Apex School, a private school located at 29, First Apex Avenue, Amikanle Alagbado, Lagos has come and gone, but the graduating students, their parents and the school are still savouring the events.

The various activities lined up for the day commenced with thanksgiving and praise worship to reverend God, for His benevolence and protection over the students, teachers and the school in particular.

First Apex School, according to its Founders/Proprietors, Mr. Bodunde Samuel Oluwaseun and his wife, Elizabeth, is a coeducational institution and government approved for the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), National Examination Council (NECO) for the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) and NABTED. The school was established in 2006 with the main aim of bringing back the fast disappearing educational values, moral and discipline in Nigerian schools.

Bodunde, who is the Chairman of the school and also the Vice President II of the Lagos State chapter of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), said: “Our school is a place where we groom young minds for academy excellent; we train children to be the best as we identify their latent talent and potential and work hard to harness such. While admonishing the graduating students, he urged them to be good ambassadors of the school, saying they should know the children of whom they are.

“You should work hard so that you can be relevant in the future and we expect to see you as the leaders of tomorrow,” he stressed, recalling that the school has laudable monumental achievements and won several laurels in the outgone school year.

He listed the various achievements of the school to include outstanding and excellent performance in both external and internal examinations, while the school has been selected by the Lagos State Government as one of the Coding centre for the state, where the next generation will be developed.

More importantly, the school has become the best and preferred choice school in the environment as a result of the teachers’ hard work, dedication and commitment to teaching and upbringing of our students for excellent,” Bodunde said. The Administrator of the school, Mrs. Bodunde praised the Almighty God for making it possible for them to witness the end of another wonderful session, which according to her, is full of great achievements.

While congratulating the graduating students for successful completion of their secondary school education, she noted: “I want to advise the graduating students to avail yourselves the opportunity that are open to you. Definitely, there are challenges ahead, but you should apply what you have learnt or acquired in the past few years by putting such knowledge to good use in creating something that would be of benefit so as to become role models that people could be proud of.
