Suspected ritualists have reportedly killed and dismembered the body of a Fulani herdsman in Igosun, Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara state.

It was learnt that the victim, Usman Audu, was later discovered in a farm after a frantic search, with his heart, private parts and eyes removed.

According to a source: “He left home with his cows on Thursday morning for grazing. But we became worried in the evening when we didn’t see him which was unusual, but only his cows returned.

“After hours of search, in collaboration with the police in the area that we reported to, his body was found to have been dismembered. His private parts, hands and eyes were removed.”

His corpse was said to have been deposited at the morgue of Offa General Hospital.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, Kwara State Command, Ayayi Okasanmi, said investigation is still ongoing, adding that no arrest has been made.
