Hunters group wants SW Govs to organise parley for Amotekun personnel

Sola Adeyemo, Ibadan

Following the inauguration of the joint security outfit of the Western Nigeria Security Network codenamed ‘Amotekun’, the Soludero Hunters’ Association has called on the South West governors to organise a parley where all the personnel eventually recruited would meet to get to know themselves.

Speaking Sunday through its National President, Oba Nureni Ajijola Anabi, the hunters, who would be part of the active members of ‘Amotekun’, said the motive for setting up the outfit could be counter productive if the personnel do not know themselves.

Also, Ajijola Anabi said the six states which formed the outfit should reconsider the meagre salary of N13,500 to be paid to the members of the outfit, describing the reported salary as too meagre for the task they will be saddled with.

Anabi commended the six western states’ governors especially Engr Seyi Makinde for providing logistics that would facilitate effective service delivery, adding that things would keep on improving after the launch.
