JUST IN: Abiodun presents N351bn 2022 budget proposal to House

The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun on Tuesday presented the 2022 proposed budget of N351 billion to the state House of Assembly.

The budget proposal has a shortfall of N98 billion as against the 2020 budget of N449.974 billion.

Abiodun told the lawmakers that, the proposal tagged, “Budget of Restoration”, will be largely funded with expected Federal Allocation of N73.01 billion while expected Internal Generated Revenue (IGR) is put at N56.3 billion.

The governor while giving the breakdown of the proposal, disclosed that Capital expenditure, including infrastructure, ICT and power will gulp N170 billion, representing 81 per cent of the total budget.

He said, the proposed budget to fund education is N56 billion, agriculture got N15 billion, while health has N25 billion.

Abiodun noted that, the budget proposal is aimed at sustaining and improving the momentum gained so far by his administration.
