Kalu mourns demise of retired Supreme Court Judge, Justice Babalakin

Former Governor of Abia State and Chief Whip of the Senate, Dr. Orji Kalu has described the demise of retired Judge of the Supreme Court, Justice Bolarinwa Babalakin as a huge loss to the nation.

Extolling the virtues of the late jurist, Kalu acknowledged the contributions of the deceased to the judiciary and Nigeria at large having served in various capacities.

He urged the Babalakin family to uphold and sustain the remarkable legacies of their late patriarch, stressing that the deceased left behind good children, who are professionals in various fields of endeavours.

In a condolence message, the former governor conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the Chairman of Bi-Courtney Aviation Services, Mr Wale Babalakin and other members of the Babalakin family.

He said: “The demise of retired Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Bolarinwa Babalakin is a big loss to Osun State and Nigeria in general.

“The late Jurist was forthright, patriotic, selfless and dedicated to the service of humanity.

“His attributes were outstanding and extra-ordinary. In his profession, he stood out among his contemporaries.

“He lived a fulfilled life in the service of Allah and mankind.

“I also extend my condolences to the government and people of Osun State.”

Kalu prayed to Allah to grant the late Jurist Al-Jannah Firdaus and give the Babalakin family the fortitude to bear the loss.
