The management of Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) has concluded plans to honour 69 of its employee for outstanding performance during the Managing Director’s Award night scheduled to hold on January 19. The award, is part of the management’s efforts to encourage staff’s performance, dedication, hard work, innovative approach to work and boost their level of responsiveness to assigned responsibilities. It will also feature 30 different categories rounding off with the best employeeof the year award.
The Managing Director of KEDCO, Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, said the award was a conscious one to incorporate excellence and dedication to duty, adding that with such initiation it would be easy to encourage staff and make them see themselves as major stakeholders in the scheme of things.
He said: “We have achieved a lot and we are still committed towards achieving greater to ensure we remain relevant into the future and in that regard. “We adopted our own initiative through this award night to motivate staff and give them more reasons to invest their innovative ideas and push more to sustain our mandate to continuously raise the bar of excellence in power distribution franchise.” Gwamna called on staff to ensure continuous and sustained efforts to grow KEDCO by striving to meet all monthly targets for 2020 which he believes would further complement the already existing modalities for customers’ satisfaction.
