Lagos State Assembly has lifted suspension on four of its members.

The Speaker, Alhaji Mudashiru Obasa announced the move at the start of plenary on Thursday.

He said the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) and the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu called a meeting on Tuesday to intervene in the crisis and directed that the House should reinstate the suspended lawmakers.

The affected lawmakers, namely, Mr Olumuyiwa Jimoh, who was the former Deputy Majority Leader, Mr Rotimi Abiru, who was the Chief Whip,  Mr Moshood Oshun and Mr Raheem Adewale, were suspended indefinitely on March 9 by their colleagues over allegations bordering on gross misconduct and insubordination.

The GAC meeting, held at the Lagos House, Marina, was led by Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
