The First lady of Lagos state, Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, few days ago added another year to turn 53, and expectedly, it was torrent of congratulatory messages from all quarters.
The epic moment was when the apple of the birthday girl’s eye, her husband, governor Sanwo-Olu didn’t lag behind in joining others to wish her wife well.
The workaholic governor, however, went further to extol the wife, show gratitude for her efforts, as well as reassuring her of his undying love her.
Mr. Governor expressed this via his social media page. He wrote: “Loyal, virtuous, patient, humble, intelligent, smart and gracious these are the qualities I would use to describe you Ibijoke mi (my own) on this your special day and beyond’.
“I salute your steadfastness in the Lord, your support for me and your love for our family on this journey of governance which we have embarked on together.
“As we trudge along on this leadership duty, I am thrilled at the strength and effortlessness with which you take on your responsibilities pertaining to the affairs of the state and the home front.
“I must say, you have been a very reassuring prayer partner, confidant, cheerleader, my joyful place and above all my peace. Thank you for everything you have been to our Children and I.
It is my prayer on this special day, that the Lord will continue to keep you, bless you and strengthen you to continue to excel in the task that we have taken on.”
“Happy Birthday my dear wife in whom I am very well pleased, I love you unconditionally, and may the peace of the Lord continue to abide with you and grant you all your heart’s desires, Amen.”
Except for the title of office that gives her out as an important personality, Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, wife of the Governor of Lagos State, does not act like she’s more privileged than others.
The First Lady of the Centre of Excellence, who is said to have a very humble personality, pays attention to how to complement the efforts of her husband to ensure Lagosians get value for their votes, and this she does by being selfless and non-discriminating in caring for all and sundry in the state.
Her humility, compassion and zeal for the development of the women and children, are other things Ibijoke is synonymous with.
