Lagos to prosecute Naira Marley

Indications yesterday emerged that Lagos State government will prosecute Naira Marley for moving out of Lagos to Abuja and sneaking back to the state after the controversial concert. Reactions have been trailing flagrant flouting of the laws and guidelines of inter-state movement by the popular singer, whom many accused of having a penchant for brazen disregard for the laws, especially the laid down measures regarding the containment of the deadly covid-19 pandemic.

While some expressed concerns over the controversies surrounding his chattered flight to Abuja, others wondered why the music star will leave Lagos for Abuja and returned, despite existence of prohibition of such movement by the state and federal government. But the Lagos State government has vowed to arrest and prosecute the singer for flouting its restriction on inter-state movement, addingthatoncethe police conclude its investigation, Naira Marley will be arrested and prosecuted accordingly.
