Ondo PDP denies plans to sack exco over Mimiko

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State has debunked insinuations that the State Executive Committee of the party is to be dissolved to accommodate new people into the party.

 

The Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Kennedy Peretei, in a statement said such a plan is in the figment of the imagination of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) which he said was out to undermine the success of the party in recent times.

 

There have been insinuations in the political circle that the return of former Governor Olusegun Mimiko to PDP might  lead to the dissolution of the State Executive Committee of the party.

 

Such dissolution was said to accommodate the interest of Mimiko, who is the highest former political office holder in the party, having served as a governor for two terms.
