Pappy Thrill’s “Tears Sweat Blood” debuts at No. 1

If you’re looking for Pappy Thrill, you can find him at the top of the charts. The genre-bending artist returned to familiar territory this week with his latest album Tears Sweat Blood, which enters at No. 1 on the iTunes Hip Hop South Africa chart.

Thrill’s first album sold 8000 copies in its first week from his car boot, according to a report on The Guardian. This sales set the pace for Thrill’s latest project, the album has remained on the chart for almost a week.
With singles like “Ray Ceeh” featuring Buffalo Souljah, “Bless Up” featuring A-Soul, Tshego and Stogie T, “Like A Bad Girl” featuring Nasty C all staying atop individual singles charts.

Tears Sweat Blood is not only a hit in S.A., but worldwide. It tops the iTunes charts in some other countries.
Elsewhere on the S.A charts, American export Rick Ross arrives at No. 2 with the second phase of his album, Port of Miami 2, while Raina Nel’s sophomore set Sterker bows at No. 3.
