Para-Powerlifting mourns Paul Kehinde

The Nigeria Para-Powerlifting Federation has expressed sadness over the death of Nigerianpowerlifters, Paul Kehinde, who died in Lagos on Thursday, November 18, 2021. Kehinde until his death, was a fourtime world champion. President of the federation, Ruel Ishaku, who disclosed this to newsmen said Kehinde, was a great ambassador of this country, stressing that the entire Paralympic family is going to miss him. Ruel however urged the sporting world to disregard a recent statement credited to the impeached former president of Para- Powerlifting, Mrs. Queen Uboh, who claimed that late Kehinde was not given a befitting burial, calling it a cheap blackmail coming from a disgruntled fellow. According to him, the late world champion died on Nov 18 and was buried on Nov 19, 2021 being the following day and the sports ministry sent a delegation led by the Secretary-General of the Federation, Mr. Peter Njoku which includes other board members to the burial.
