Plateau Assembly tussle: Thugs invade chambers, vandalise properties

Unknown persons suspected to be political thugs on Thursday night invaded the chambers of the Plateau State House of Assembly and vandalise properties including seats of the members. It would be recalled that the State Assembly complex was shut down by security agencies after the alleged illegal removal of the Speaker Hon. Abok Ayuba on October 28, 2021 The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba had redeployed the Plateau State CP and dispatched Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Mustapha Dandaura to handle the situation. However the New Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Yakubu Sanda had on Friday led eleven other members of the Assembly into the chambers and presided over plenary at the hallowed chamber, where he lamented the act of destruction.
