S’East to embark on massive industrial revolution – Iwuanyanwu

Elder statesman and Chairman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Elders Council, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu says South-East will soon undergo massive industrial and economic revolution.

Chief Iwuanyanwu said this while addressing the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Worldwide who visited him in his office in Owerri. He said this would be achieved in collaboration with the South East Governments and Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.

Iwuanyanwu said the massive industrial and economic revolution will not only lead to massive employment of the youths to engage them gainfully but will produce goods and services, improve the Gross Domestic Product(GDP) of the zone and also export some of the products to improve the Gross National Product (GNP) of Nigeria.

He said that if many industries and production companies are established, youth restiveness will be curbed while crime will also reduce to the barest minimum because an idle mind is the devil’s workshop.

Chief Iwuanyanwu, who is a strong advocate of youth empowerment and human capital development, maintained that with the economic revolution project implementation, the South-East would be the pride of the nation in the next 10 years.

Addressing the Ohanaeze Youths, Iwuanyanwu said: “I’m proud to be an Igbo man because Ndigbo have a proud heritage. How the Igboman rose to be where he is today stunned his neighbours and the world.”
