Stop insulting PDP National Chair, others, ex-Ekiti S/West LG Chair warns Olujimi

Immediate past elected Chairman of Ekiti South West Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Hon. Lanre Omolase has warned the Senator representing Ekiti South senatorial district, Biodun Olujimi, to stop attacking and insulting the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus and other notable leaders of the party.
Omolase, who was reacting to a statement purportedly made by stakeholders of the PDP in Ekiti South West Local Government, said there was no where leaders of the party in the local government met to decide on insulting the National Chairman on the pages of newspapers.
The three-term elected chairman of the local government said Senator Olujimi should be bold enough to use her own name to carry out her dirty fights and open assault on the leadership of PDP instead of hiding under non-existing party stakeholders.
The statement reads: “That Senator Olujimi could throw decorum to the pigs and sponsor dissidents to insult the National Chairman of our party on the pages of newspapers, just because she failed in her bid to hijack the party through the last Ward Congresses and hand it over to the All Progressives Congress (APC), is to say the least, ridiculous, shameful and irresponsible.
“The National Chairman of the PDP is the symbol of the party. For a Senator, who was once the leader of the party in the National Assembly, to be sponsoring media attacks on the National Chairman says a lot about the character and commitment of such person to the party.
“However, we are not surprised because Olujimi’s actions are not different from those of the APC elements in Ekiti State. It is her stock-in-trade to praise the APC Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi and insult PDP leaders, including serving and former governors.
“It is on record that she took food items to APC local government secretariats in Ekiti during the COVID-19 lock down and that to us is a sign that she is more in the APC than being a member of PDP.
“I am therefore, on behalf of all the leaders of PDP in Ekiti South West Local Government area of Ekiti State, warning Senator Biodun Olujimi to desist from her display of political irresponsibility of attacking national leaders of our party.
“We respect the National Chairman and appreciate his open and transparent leadership as shown in the recent conduct of the governorship primary election in Edo and Ondo States.
“We therefore call on the National Chairman to ignore the statement by the so-called PDP stakeholders from Ekiti South West Local Government. It is the continuation of the display of frustration by Senator Olujimi, a desperate agent of the APC in Ekiti State.”
