Suspected cattle rustlers attack cattle rearer, cart away 15 cows in Kwara

A Fulani herdsman, Muhammadu Bello, at a Ruga settlement, Ahun, Oro-Ago district in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, has been reported to have nearly lost his life following a vicious attack by suspected three cattle rustlers who left him with multiple matchete cuts.
The rustlers, who left the victim unconscious, reportedly carted away 15 of his cows.
The spokesman of the Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Babawale Zaid Afolabi, in a statement on Thursday, said: “The badly injured and unconscious cattle rearer, Muhammadu Bello, was brought to our Oro-Ago Divisional Office by Miyetti Allah Vigilante Group on Wednesday. He was attacked by cattle rustlers who later went away with 15 of his cows.
“The injured cattle rearer has been taken to hospital for proper medical treatment while operatives of the NSCDC, Miyetti Allah Vigilante and local hunters have launched a manhunt for the cattle rustlers.”
