600,000 farmers benefit from e-agric scheme

A new report on an e-agriculture scheme of the Federal Government christened: ‘Growth Enhancement Support Scheme (GES)’ has showed that no fewer than 600,000 Nigerians benefited from the first season of the scheme in 2016. Sokoto earmarks N20bn for agric, environment

    Sokoto State Government has earmarked over N20 billion for the implementation of various agricultural and environmental projects across the 23 Local Government Areas of the state. Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, disclosed this yesterday during the inauguration of the Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP), which took place at the Sokoto Polytechnic Conference Hall. Food security: Ambode empowers 10,000 farmers, entrepreneurs

As part of strategies to ensure food security in the state, Lagos Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode yesterday said that the state will empower at least 10,000 farmers and entrepreneurs in the state with Rural Financing Institution, (RUFIN), to ensure that food were available, affordable and accessible throughout the State.
